How to create a Google review link

  1. Search for your business by name and location using Google Places.
  2. Select the correct business from the suggestions and confirm the address.
  3. Create your review link, test it and copy it.
  4. Add it to your email or SMS using our Google review request template generator.

Business search uses Google Places when configured. If you already know your Google Place ID, the manual option also lets you format a link. Test the result to confirm the correct business before sharing.

A Google Maps link versus a Google review link

A general Maps listing lets customers explore a business. A direct review link points them toward leaving a rating and review. This generator formats a review URL using the business’s Place ID; it does not create customer reviews or preselect a star rating.

Where should you share your review link?

Use it in a relevant customer email, an appropriate follow-up text or an email signature. Ask after a genuine interaction, when customers have had time to experience the service. Invite eligible customers regardless of sentiment, without incentives or pressure.

A simple message to use with your link

Hi [First Name], thank you for choosing [Business]. If you have a moment, we’d appreciate your honest feedback on Google: [Review Link]. Thank you for your time!

Google review link generator FAQs

How does business-name search work?

Enter at least three characters and add your city or street. Google Places provides matching locations when the API is configured. Select the correct address to create your review link.

Do I need to connect my Google account?

No Google account connection is required to format a public review link. Managing your business profile is a separate task.

Can customers leave a review without signing in?

Google may ask customers to sign in to their Google account before posting. This tool does not bypass that requirement.

Can I create a link for each business location?

Yes. Use the Place ID for each individual location and test each generated link before sharing it.

Does the link automatically select five stars?

No. Customers decide their rating and what to write. A review link cannot make their feedback positive.

What if I cannot find my business?

Try adding a city or street and check that the correct listing exists on Google Maps. If no match appears, use a known Place ID or check your listing on Google Maps.

Are my details emailed or saved?

Manual link formatting happens locally and does not submit a lead form. Business-name search sends your search text to Google Places. Existing website analytics remains in place; see the privacy policy for sitewide details.
